Nat comes from a lower middle class family from the countryside of Sao Paulo in Brazil. Her background is diverse, including Italian, Portuguese, Indigenous and African. Since a very early age her dream was to study abroad, however her family couldn’t afford the best of education. She attended public schools in Brazil and earnt several scholarships to study dance, music and theatre. She also got a 100% scholarship to study in the best Marketing school of her town, however she could never turn her back on her dreams. That’s when her journey started.

In 1993, at the age of four, Nat said that her life was meant to be lived abroad, where she would acquire her education and would open her own school. Of course she was just a child, so no one really believed her due to her life conditions and reality. She never lost sight of her purpose and after many years, in 2013, she finally made it to London to study at a local university. These were challenging times due to the lack of financial resources, which affected her mental and physical well-being at the time. It came to the point when she couldn’t afford her basic needs, therefore she decided to quit. However, with the help of her professors and friends, she managed to complete the course.

Nat didn’t receive any aid from any governments, neither loans and her family couldn’t sponsor her education. This experience made her think of how many people must go through the same and how many people would never come close to the opportunity she had. Therefore, she believes that through Lawrence Group she can expand the project by embracing social causes, sponsoring Brazilian children to help them acquire education online and potentially abroad.
